Advice for Apartment Hunting in Europe
<p>If you are considering living in an apartment building that has a business on the first floor, make sure you know what the business is + entails! I learned this the hard way, when I discovered what I *thought* was only a pizza place on the first level of my building turned out to have a karaoke and cinema bar attached to the back…as well as an outdoor patio space below my bedroom window. I discovered this the first night in my apartment, trying to write a paper for school, struggling to figure out where the drunk singing I heard was coming from.</p>
<p>(When I toured, sure I glanced at the view out the bedroom windows — but I didn’t know to open the window, lean out and look down to see if there was anything on the ground floor.)</p>
