One of the things I miss most about childhood is its simplicity.
I remember shopping for back to school clothes. Each year we would get a new pair of jeans, a handful of new shirts, and — my particular favorite — a pair of new sneakers.
Picking out a new pair of sneakers was the most important and exciting part of the day for me. I had to choose wisely because I would be wearing these shoes everyday for the next year.
As a kid I did not have the closet full of shoes that I have now. I had my everyday sneakers, a pair of dress shoes for church on Sundays, and a pair of sandals for Summer.
