We are meeting at the Emily Carr library at 3:30 pm but my anxiety brought me here one hour before our appointment. Outside the library happens to be one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. In a garlic-shaped building in the color of red, you can find an aesthetic place to sit and also 15-dollar croissants. While making the line to get inside I couldn’t help but wonder (as miss Carrie Bradshaw would say), how much are we willing to pay for a cold and overpriced piece of bread? At the line, I also noticed a gigantic fly that was all over the pastries and then landed on my favorite one: the almond croissant.
