The Worst Book About Silicon Valley I???ve Ever Reviewed

My first reaction to The Accidental Billionaires was: “This book is utterly without redeeming social value.” That may have been too harsh.

I recently went back to Ben Mezrich’s bizarre Facebook origin story, which I’d reviewed in 2009, while doing research for a forthcoming @Medium roundup of books about Silicon Valley. In hindsight I realized that the book may have a social value apart from any merits of the much-honored movie it inspired, “The Social Network”: The Accidental Billionaires could cheer you up on a day when you think, “Nobody could write worse than I do.”
