The chance came around earlier than I expected that I get to visit the HQ in Amsterdam again after the first time.
This time, the trip was less refreshing but more stimulating both intellectually and socially.
Here are some of the best moments of the visit.
1. Working with My Teammates F2F
Based in Tokyo, I see my teammates in Amsterdam at a daily handover meeting at 4 pm (their morning) through my laptop screen.
Although online calls do the minimum job, they are not nearly interchangeable with working F2F in the same room.
When in Tokyo, I spend a lot of time reading through documentation to decide my next actions whereas when in Amsterdam, the majority of my time is spent communicating/sharing my thoughts and questions with the team and less time quietly searching for answers online.
