Over the decades, it seems that generational opinion towards work has shifted. Baby Boomers tend to stick with the same company their whole lives, and valued hard work above many other things.
Gen Xers seem to value more work-life balance than their parents and also look for career growth and the right benefits from their workplaces.
Millennials also love their work-life balance and are the generation most likely to switch jobs, reflecting their lack of loyalty to their employers.
Now, Gen Z has entered the workforce, and from “quiet quitting” to “lazy girl jobs” to advocating for 4-day work weeks, it seems that the perception of work is shifting yet again. And I’m here for it.
