Trucking Wait Fee
The trucker assesses this if the amount of free waiting time expires. Most truckers will allow for one to two free hours of waiting time to pick up a full contain and another one to two hours to unload it. Congestion usually causes wait time, so it’s best to utilize GPS and traffic-monitoring tools to stay updated in coordinating this.
Bobtail Fee
This or the drop fee is what the trucker charges to drop off an FCL container at the warehouse and later pick it up after unloaded, as opposed to a live unload. Basically, a “bobtail” is a truck without a trailer.
