<p>In 2016, the IFT prepared for second-wave migration by conducting spectrum studies of every area with unmigrated AM radio stations to identify open frequencies and how many stations could be migrated in each area.</p> <p>The Mexico City study found two available frequencies for migration, which became 96.5 and 105.3 MHz; declared 98.9, 99.7 and 104.5 MHz open (I&rsquo;ll get to this in a moment), and an additional frequency in the Article 90 reserved band at 106.1.
