Honoring all people’s requested pronouns is essential for their emotional wellness and, all too often, their physical safety as well. The pronoun issue is often seen as a uniquely transgender matter. But imagine how cisgender males and cisgender females feel if someone uses the wrong pronouns for them. If it’s a simple mistake, it’s easily corrected, but if it’s done maliciously, it’s bullying.
