Then I dated about 12 more. Dating in Silicon Valley is tough, and not just because your date might be late due to a freak hoverboarding incident. I have some tips for how to handle the culture and make it out alive, with your dignity and Hinge profile intact.
1. Prepare for awkward silences
Tech bros are many things, but they aren’t chatterboxes. If you’d like to date one, get ready for one-word responses, usually delivered in a monotone. And if you don’t speak and don’t use words, is it still a conversation? (I don’t know. That seems like more of a question for philosophy majors.)
