Yesterday we headed to The Shed for an afternoon viewing of Here We Are, the last musical with music & lyrics by the master himself, Stephen Sondheim. Although started years ago, many years before his death, it only recently hit the stage. We were curious to see how this would expand from things written by him mid-career like Into the Woods.
Turns out, despite being based on two Luis Buñuel movies (read more about that in the link to Here We Are above) it still reads like Into the Woods to me. (and sounds a bit like it, too, at least the first act)
