Known as @bob_bowler_ilustration on Instagram, animator and illustrator Robert Bowler thinks there is not enough representation of the Irish mythological folklore in the media.
He has participated twice in the Dublin Canvas Project. First in 2019 with the piece Setanta, The Hound of Cuchulainn, displayed at the Shangan Road in Ballymun, and last year with The Daughter of Lir in the Arran Quay in the city center.
When it comes to mythology from Ireland, nowadays some of the best-known tales are of Tír na nÓg, Fionn MacCumhaill, Na Fianna, The Aos Sí / Aes Sídhe, Sétanta (CúChulainn), The Tuatha Dé Danann (Gods), the Children of Lir, Táin Bó Cúailnge & the Salmon of Knowledge.
