Excuse for not writing #146 Drinking ouzo with Zeus, Bacchus, and Aphrodite

Thinking about what to write, I’ve been reading the classics. I’m not talking about Hemingway but real classics: the Odyssey, the Elyad, Lysistrata. And since then, I can’t get Greece out of my head.
It is a place with good weather (in spring and summer), a Mediterranean diet with delicious dishes (souvlaki, moussaka, gyro, feta cheesecake), full of gardens, and is more than walkable. And you have a living history in front of you. 2000 years monuments. If that doesn’t inspire me, nothing will. It worked for Lord Byron. Being able to walk among temples of mythical gods like Zeus or Aphrodite. To think of their various powers and stories and perhaps toast in honor of Bacchus and company. To drink wine or ouzo (Greek liquor with a dash of aniseed). Or at least use them for inspiration. And it turns out that in the summer there are a lot of outdoor cinemas and various festivals. Mmm. Interesting. Very interesting. I’m going to do some more research. There might be something to plan here…
