What It’s Like to Get a Wisdom Tooth Out with Just Local Anesthetic
<p>1–23–2008: I can be such a pain-in-the-ass hypochondriac sometimes. But, I’m not the type that goes to the doctor every five minutes. I’m more on the other extreme; I <em>ignore</em> aches and pains, figuring (hoping) they’ll go away on their own. (And, they almost always do.)</p>
<p>There have probably been a few times I really should have sought medical treatment. For example, that time I sliced my index finger down to the bone while cutting a copper pipe. (It can’t be normal to be able to see your own bones.) Instead of going for stitches, I figured electrical taping a paper towel and a small wooden splint to my finger would do the trick. And it did.</p>
