<p>As a wheelchair user, my Dungeons and Dragons sessions helped me escape the pressures of life, while seeing my disability in a new and empowering light. Within the game my wheelchair would be transformed into an extension of my character’s world. It became a majestic steed for a paladin or a wizard’s enchanted chariot. These adaptations allowed me to reframe my disability as a unique strength turning what some might see as limitations into different, remarkable abilities.</p>
