The End of the Republican Party
<p>Political parties have come and gone throughout American history; Alexander Hamiton was part of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federalist_Party#:~:text=The%20Federalist%20Party%20supported%20Hamilton's,between%20France%20and%20Great%20Britain" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Federalist Party</a>, and Thomas Jefferson was a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic-Republican_Party" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Democratic-Republican</a>. We've had a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know_Nothing" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Know-Nothing Party</a>, an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Masonic_Party" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Anti-Masonic Party</a>, and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whig_Party_(United_States)#:~:text=The%20Whig%20Party%20was%20a,of%20the%20Second%20Party%20System" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Whigs</a>. All of them came to an end, none of them after a great victory, but after revealing losses. They became out of step with a nation that moved on.</p>
<p>The Republican Party is ending; it will be with a bang and not a whimper. Several Republicans no longer recognize their own Party and have left. The labels "Grand Old Party" and the "Party of Lincoln" no longer apply. Those who left might say they didn't leave the Republican Party; the Republican Party left them.</p>
<h2>"And, in my view, I don't consider the Republican Party a political party in the United States at the moment."-Retired Judge <strong>J. Michael Luttig.</strong></h2>
