<p>Teatro de Colon — the principal theater of Buenos Aires with all the attributes of the capital’s leading stage. An historic building, a grand stage adorned with lavish decorations and gilding, the necessity of purchasing tickets months in advance, and a classical repertoire.</p>
<p>I visited this famous theater in the evening before my flight to Santiago, and I rushed to the airport during the middle of the second act. I had only been in Buenos Aires for a week and hadn’t planned a cultural program in advance. Once there, I thought it would be interesting to see the historical stage from the inside. The choice within that one-week window was limited, and tickets were sold out.</p>
