Second week in BA: Adventures in la Boca and Tango Show

During our second week in Buenos Aires, we lived several aventures. On our second week-end in the city, we went and wandered through San Telmo, and la Boca, two of the iconic areas of Buenos Aires.

San Telmo is known for being the home of tango, and is a very nice “barrio”. La Boca, which is mainly known for its soccer club Boca Juniors, is a popular area, that was built by Italian immigrants who were working as dockers in the port of Buenos Aires.

We started by taking the metro to Correo Central, and walked around the Casa Rosada, the house of the Argentinian President and center of the political power. In front of it, there were some indigenous people protesting for the rights of their nations. Argentina is a very white country, and most people here are clearly from European descent.
