My Top 20 Switch Online Classic Games — Part 1

<p>This is my 100th story for Tasta (and by extension, on Medium), so it&rsquo;s a perfect opportunity to do something different. I want to take you on a personal journey of my top 1̶0̶ ̶1̶5̶ 20 retro games (started with 10 but couldn&rsquo;t choose), albeit limited to the ones which are currently available via the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. That way, you can try them out for yourself! Additionally, I will try to give a backstory to each game as to how I experienced it as a kid and how I think it stood the test of time.</p> <p>It is my personal preference and it will undoubtedly trigger readers because their game, or what the industry generally considers as a GOAT, is missing. And that&rsquo;s fine. I want this story to be about my experience and nostalgic feelings en memories, rather than what is considered popular by the masses. I remember buying my first console when I was in my teens using my savings from birthdays and other occasions. My dad took me to the city, where we ended up in an electronics shop which had a small discount isle selling the Atari 2600 Jr. and a number of games. I bought the console and a couple of games, and enthusiastically hooked it up to my tiny bedroom tv once we were back home.
