Stanley Odd live @ Room2, Glasgow

The loudest crowd in Glasgow belts the reply back at rap wizard, Dave Hook aka Solareye, who tonight shows everyone why he is a doctor of words and one of the realest to touch a mic. There’s a lot going on in Glasgow on this chilly Saturday night, but Room 2 is packed with bodies wearing Stay Odd t-shirts and smiling faces; with a vibrant atmosphere and a full bar, Room 2 is the place to be.

Prior to this, we were treated to an opening set by the one and only Jackal Trades, who was accompanied by the uber talented Minerva Wakes. Giving us songs from the recent album At This Point, we had stellar singalong moments with the perfectly apt “Fun Has Been Outlawed” (but we can still walk about!) and the brilliantly executed “On It Again” which had us cast off the shackles of care and bounce around chanting with hands in the air. Ah yes, normal service has been resumed. With boss style, Jackal Trades gave us a much-wanted encore, with lively chants of “It’s been a while!” filling the room and the void that has been our social lives lately.
