The Three ‘Sins’ of Judaism

I don’t know if Inuit actually has more than one word that translates to the English word ‘snow,’ but I am sure that Hebrew has at least three words that translate to the English word ‘sin.’ Because I’m American, I speak English, and most of the people I know who have read the Bible, read it in English. If you learn about sin in English, and specifically in America, you miss the nuance you get from learning it in the original language. Since most of the people I know are American Christians, the first ‘sin’ to discuss is that of Adam and Eve. You know, the original one. The word used in Genesis is ‘chait.’ And we could translate it as sin. But it’s used elsewhere in the Bible so we can take a look at what it meant back then when it was written.
