Variables: You Can’t Deny Chemistry

In science, variables are the key components in your basic lab experiment. You have your independent variables, the factors that cause change. Let’s say, a new type of fertilizer. You have your dependent variable, the factor you choose to observe. Say, a flower given this fertilizer. You also have your controlled variables, factors that remain unchanged. As you may have guessed, a flower treated without fertilizer.

Our lives are dependent on certain variables. That job. That car. That quick fix. Like our flower, perhaps we are dependent on these things to grow. To change. Waiting for something to happen. Yet none of these are elemental. None of these make you who you are.
