Sarah Palin Calls for Trump Supporters to “Rise Up” Over Trump Arrest, Alludes to “Civil War”
<p>Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin believes only bad things can come from prosecuting former President Donald Trump for his alleged crimes ― including a possible <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/aug/25/sarah-palin-us-civil-war-donald-trump-prosecutions" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">civil war</a>.</p>
<p>Palin suggested the possibility of a civil war in a <a href="https://www.mediamatters.org/newsmax/newsmax-sarah-palin-calls-civil-war" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Newsmax interview</a> shortly after Trump surrendered to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, where he faces 13 felony charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.</p>
<p>Trump currently faces a total of <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/trump-charges-jan-6-classified-documents/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">91 felony charges</a> in four separate criminal cases. These charges include his alleged coup attempt, his alleged mishandling of classified documents, and his alleged hush-money payments involving Stormy Daniels.</p>
<p>Newsmax host Eric Bolling felt compelled to ask Palin if Trump’s arrest was proof of a two-tiered justice system, despite the fact that it is typical for a person accused of a felony to be arrested.</p>
<p>Palin responded by saying, “I mean, I think those who are conducting this travesty and creating this two-tier system of justice, I want to ask them: What the heck? Do you want us to be in civil war? Because that’s what’s going to happen.”</p>
