Rhetoric Above Realisation

If those leaders of political parties showed the rhetoric, we must already know that the election is near. As an undergraduate student in Indonesia, seeing a billboard full of the faces of legislator candidates is something normal, especially as this country stood as a third world country. Every action that might be categorised as harmful to the environment seems unimportant as long as those candidates are getting their interest. Even if a lot of media has brought up this issue toward a larger community, they keep close their eyes and ears while confidently walking into the glory they want.

When we are looking for their banners, billboards, and posters, we will serve with a lot of promises that the people would never see or even feel the realisation of the substance inside their attributes. Most of every substance on their banners are lies. The typical words of the legislator and presidential candidate’s banner are firm, honest, and young. How could we trust them while they admit that they are still young while they look like a 50 year old headmaster.
