How to Survive and Thrive — as a Startup in a Tough Regulatory Environment
<p>Until recently, shared-mobility companies were able to deploy their assets in the city of Tel-Aviv without much interference from the local TLV government. But since <strong>August 1st, 2019 </strong>all players must fully comply with<strong> </strong>an extensive set of the city’s rules and regulations if they want to continue operating.</p>
<p>When we first launched <a href="https://www.wind.co/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Wind Scooters</a> on January 1st, 2019, there were few rules in place, so we trusted our gut and did whatever we thought was right. The way it worked was pretty straightforward, we chose locations according to our algorithm, safety measures and knowledge of the city. However, naively, something we didn’t do was to share our considerations with the local government.</p>
