The days become longer, the new energy settles in and I finally feel like I can do things: go out, explore, move, make some new plans, change. It also marks four years since I first moved to Scotland and three years since I’ve started settling in. What a journey that’s been!

I fell in love with Edinburgh almost 7 years ago, when together with my brother we followed Biffy Clyro to T in the Park and stayed here for a week. We roamed empty streets and closes all night long, and then watched the sunrise from Salisbury Crags. Already then I knew that someday I’d come back here ‘for longer’. Wasn’t sure for quite how long, but I knew I would, and I did. Currently I have no plans to leave. For almost two years now, I’ve been calling Edinburgh my home of choice.
