<p>The Qur’an is a timeless scripture that comes from a source outside of time. It is a text that contains “…guidance for those who are mindful of God, (Qur’an 2:2)” This guidance is for the function of the self, family, and community. The Qur’an is a text that, through the stories of prophets and messengers, addresses the states of communities and where they go wrong. The Qur’an addresses the reader in universals. As the eternal speech of Allah, the words are eternal. There is something for the community as well. What then can be taken for the modern day?</p>
