Why The Political Center Might Be Our Last-Best Chance?

Stealers Wheels may not be a group many remember, but their song, Stuck in the Middle, and its famous lyrics, Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, has not only endured, but may, in some ways, be most relevant to the current state of the US political system! We are inundated with the demands, and/or suggestions from the extremes on both sides of the political spectrum (on the far-left, the progressives, including the so-called, Squad, who have focused on idealist policies, etc., often without using common sense pragmatism, and proceeding with an open-mind; and the extreme-right, which consists, significantly of individuals, who self-identify with either the Freedom Caucus, MAGA, or Trumpism). Although, many believe a significant majority of US citizens seem to prefer a more-balanced, pragmatic, common sense approach, they have not created, to-date, and effective political movement, and thus are truly the Silent Majority!
