Where Americans Agree on Gun Control

<p>IT&rsquo;S NO SECRET that Americans are divided on the personal ownership of firearms. The divide has only become sharper since the United States Supreme Court has made several decisions over the last 15 years favorable to ownership under the context of the Second Amendment of the Constitution. And other factors have thrown wild cards into the mix.</p> <p>We poured over&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2023/06/28/views-of-u-s-gun-laws-impact-of-gun-ownership-on-safety/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">2023 survey data</a>&nbsp;from Pew Research to see if we could make sense of the divide and any wild cards. This is Pew&rsquo;s first survey in the post-COVID era, in which we saw a drop in support for gun regulations and a large increase in gun purchases and first-time ownership.
