Feldencrais

On Thursday mornings I have a 10am Feldencrais session. I lie on a comfortable wide low table as she moves my body in peculiar ways or just slides her hand under my shoulder etc and supports it or jiggles it around. It is very comforting. I feel totally floppy often. There is something therapeutic about being touched gently and today tears drifted as I remembered my mother.

Feldencrais is not about going into your pain. It is about restful support. Pain leaves when it’s ready. No need to force or push.

The Feldencrais practitioner has (like me), hands of light. I often feel it in multiple areas moving from her gentle hands all over my body.
