Homo Sapiens : Why don’t we consider ourselves animals?
<p>Throughout the world, many people don’t choose to believe that they are animals. In fact, we tend to think of ourselves as <em>humans</em> or <em>humankind</em>, other creatures such as tigers and dolphins as <em>animals</em>, and squash or lettuce as <em>vegetables </em>or<em> plants</em>. In this article, I will try to identify why the majority of us do not think of ourselves as animals.</p>
<p>Reminisce about your third grade science class, when you have just started to touch up on biology and ecology. You first think of those simple lions and tigers, etc. Few more lessons in, and your third grade mind is starting to comprehend species and diversity. Few weeks go by, you’re starting to understand the basics of evolution. </p>
