2024 All-NBA Predictions

I wouldn’t say I was low on Paolo Banchero coming out of Duke, but I wasn’t the highest on him either. Like all prospects that go first overall, there was plenty to like, but I’m not sure I pictured the quality of player (in both skill and influence) that we’ve seen in Orlando this season — and certainly not so soon. And yet, after a solid rookie campaign and a brilliant start to his sophomore campaign, I found myself keeping a close eye on Banchero’s name in the All-Star discussion. Given the Magic have continued their success into the second half of the season and have an outside chance to get home court in the East, his inclusion in February’s game now seems obvious, but it wasn’t so just a few months ago. Which got me thinking — with brilliant individual statistics and a strong team record, could Banchero already be worthy of making the challenging jump from All Star to All-NBA? With the official list’s release still over a month away, there’s only one way to find out — hashing out my own All-NBA teams with a heavy dose of the voters’ traditional logic and a sizable helping of personal opinion.
