What Living in Arkansas for 5 Years Taught Me About Modern Racism
<p>Once upon a time, I thought racism was obsolete. That was while I resided in the Northeast quadrant of the country. Then I moved down South (more on that later) and was exposed to how minorities live and are treated there. The experience was eye-opening in the worst way possible.</p>
<p>It’s no secret that racism is still alive and well in this country. Just look at the Black Lives Matter movement that started a few years ago as proof of this. If that isn’t enough, then look no further than Asian hate and the onslaught of ensuing violence against that demographic, which is a pandemic all by itself.</p>
<p>Factor in rising antisemitism, and you have a recipe for disaster in the land of the free and home of the brave.</p>
