Fontainebleau Miami Beach: A History of Luxury and Glamour
<p>The Fontainebleau was the brainchild of hotelier Ben Novack Sr., who envisioned a luxury resort that would rival the best hotels in the world. Construction began in 1952 and was completed in 1954. The hotel was an instant success, and it quickly became a popular destination for celebrities and high-society.</p>
<p>The Fontainebleau was known for its lavish parties and its glamorous atmosphere. In the 1960s, it was a popular spot for Rat Pack members Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Peter Lawford. The hotel was also featured in several movies, including “Ocean’s Eleven” (1960) and “Scarface” (1983).</p>
