Kurisumala-Kaalimala Mansoon Trek
<p>Kalimala and kurishumala are located about 40 km away from Trivandrum city at an altitude of 3000 ft from sea level. kusishumala is sharing its borders with both Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The word kurishumala means mount of the cross, and the word Kaalimala means the mount of the goddess Kaali!</p>
<p>It’s a beautiful and calm place, perfect for a few medium-level trekking lovers. Both kurishumala and kalimala are religious places, so it’ll be crammed with people from all chores of life seeking serenity during the pilgrim season. Christian devotees visit the place during Lent time. Hindu devotees go to a temple there mainly during Durgashtami from September to October to offer prayers and “ponkaala”. But both spots are situated next to each other on the same mountain. It’s advisable to go there during off seasons (religious) to enjoy the real mist and fog.</p>
