My Daughter is Made of Glass

<p>The actor from Glee, Cory Monteith, had just died. The Glee creators aired the Quarterback episode where Monteith&rsquo;s character, Finn Hudson, dies. I&rsquo;m sitting on the couch with my twelve-year-old daughter watching this emotional scene of Finn&rsquo;s mom crying after losing her son, and the dichotomy that Monteith has actually died makes the scene almost unbearably grief-stricken. The actress playing Finn Hudson&rsquo;s mom starts her dialogue, tearful and struggling with her breath, she says in a melancholy voice:</p> <p>&ldquo;How do parents go on when they lose a child? You know when I&rsquo;d see that stuff on the news, I&rsquo;d turn it off cause it was just too horrible to think, but I would always think how do they wake up everyday? I mean how do they breath, honey, but you do wake up, and for just a second you forget.
