A Lovely Endurance
<p>This past weekend was the <a href="https://www.nyrr.org/tcsnycmarathon/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">New York Marathon</a>. Since it was Sunday morning, I convinced Steve we could miss church this one time to watch the amazing athletes as they run across the 5 boroughs to complete their 26+ mile race.</p>
<p>I was not very aware of this race, other than its existence, until moving here. But once here, I really wanted to be a part of the action. Well, of course, not the real action — I couldn’t run a mile, let alone 26 — but I wanted to be among the throngs watching others go the distance. Now that we were here, though, I had to study up on it, to see where they ran, to understand the complexity of the operation and of course, to actually see it!</p>
