8 lessons from 6 days in the USA

With funding from <a href="https://unboundphilanthropy.org/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Unbound Philanthropy</a>, <a href="https://www.phf.org.uk/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">the Paul Hamlyn Foundation</a> and <a href="https://www.this.day/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">This Day Foundation</a> we brought together 14 community organisers and 5 funders to learn from our friends and colleagues in the US. We co-organised the trip with Marzena Zukowska, the incredible co-founder of <a href="https://www.pomoc.org.uk/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Polish Migrants Organise for Change (POMOC)</a>. Marzena is an experienced community organiser with deep roots in the US. They also play a key role with the <a href="https://radcommsnetwork.org/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Radical Communicators Network</a>. The aim of the trip was to spark ideas around boosting community organising infrastructure in the UK.
