Leave the Table If Respect Is Not Being Served

Wehave what, over 8 billion people on the planet, now? Yes. Well then there’s no reason to think that one individual, job, or friendship is the end-all, be-all for us, if we’re being disrespected.

The world is fast-paced as well. So it’s important for us to surround ourselves with positive people in positive environments that encourage respect and personal growth.

But, true to form, some people are toxic. And, it’s not uncommon to end up in situations where toxic behavior and disrespect are what’s served up.

Whether it’s in personal relationships, professional settings, friendships, or even online interactions, these toxic elements can have a detrimental impact on our mental well-being and overall happiness. So, showing ourselves some self-respect is the way to go.

If the respect that you bring to the table is not appreciated and is not being served back to you, then leave the table!

It’s that simple.

Sometimes, the only solution is to leave the table and distance ourselves from toxic people and environments. It may not always be easy, but it is a simple decision to prioritize our well-being and growth above all else.
