Idalia Delays Our Trip

<p>We were supposed to fly out out of Tampa on August 29, but Hurricane Idalia decided otherwise. The night before our departure, Tampa International Airport was closed to air traffic.</p> <p>I immediately got on the phone with Delta Airlines and tried to rebook our flights. The Delta representative, while appreciating our predicament could not officially make a penalty-free rebooking without the airline officially cancelling the flight. After about a twenty minute wait on the phone, the flight registered as cancelled and we were rebooked to fly out four days later.
