Human Nature And “Things”

We may not like to admit it openly for fear of being judged but money matters. A person with money can be illiterate and rogue but will get respect because money subconsciously buys influence. The moment I discovered this gave me my happiest memory to date. Not because I am greedy or seeking power but it made me understand the hypocrisy of human nature.

Politicians or leaders who loot public funds are cheered on by their gullible followers while throwing loot morsels at them. Because they have things, and the have nots, have nothing. That is why when I test people’s loyalty and genuineness, by acting broke. I wear a plain shirt to avoid combing my hair and then boom I appear at public forums as a nondescript fella.

From what I have discovered from such experiences, I always aspire to discern people first before befriending them deeply. That way, I can understand if you are with me for what you can get or because you truthfully value me. Understanding people beyond the superficial level has been key for me to make solid and lasting relationships. Such relationships yield ideas that foster development not only financially but also mentally. They also uplift the value of the collective since everyone is growing and contributing and there is no stagnation.

After all, what is life without growth and development? Granted I am not a perfect human being I aspire to be tolerant to those in my circle with weaknesses or lag behind. Because each of us grows at different paces and our challenges are different so I practise patience. Patience is the glue of long lasting and genuine relationships.

Visit Now
