Istanbul, built like Rome on seven hills, greets us with a forest of minarets shooting into the sky from more than 3,100 mosques. There are the largest number of them here in all of Turkey. They are especially picturesque from the perspective of the Golden Horn, a natural bay of the Bosphorus on which cruise ships and ferries sail. This is a unique thoroughfare, which is worth a memorable tourist cruise.
