I Played Over 1,000 Fortnite Matches — Here’s How to Win

Yeah, you read that right. I’ve played over 1,000 solo Fortnite matches. 1,019, to be precise.

I’ve spent a lot of time in this game. I’m not at the professional level, like Tyler Blevins, otherwise known as “Ninja,” who’s racked up 6,793 solo matches to his name and boasts a 32.68% solo win rate, not counting the cumulative 20,584 matches he’s played.

My win rate sits at 6.97%, or 71 wins out of the 1,019 matches. However, I’ve gotten good at placing in the upper ranks of any given match. Of the 1,019 games, I’ve placed in the Top 10 49.2% of the time, and 70.8% of the time I’m in the Top 25 (501 and 721 matches, respectively.)

There are so many randomized factors going into each match, from the supplies you loot to the skill levels of the other players, to where the storm goes, or even if you unintentionally die from fall damage. While I can’t guarantee you’ll win every match, I can safely say my strategies have allowed me to place pretty consistently in the upper ranks for every match, considering I’m in the Top 10 roughly half the time I play.
