Ford Maverick: Everyman’s Truck
<p>I have tried to get into the mind of the truck man, but they are a cagey group easily offended by someone not knowing what a one-inch lift does and why anyone would pay extra money for shinier rims. I have never needed to calculate towing capacity nor worry about getting stuck off-road in the mud if that tells you anything about me.</p>
<p>I’m on a Facebook group for Ford Maverick owners and it’s a strange mix of “truck bros”, fragile egos and what I think of as the target audience of people who want good gas mileage and occasionally need a truck bed to haul stuff.</p>
<p>I’m so practical I’m sure it makes people’s teeth hurt to listen to me talk about high gas mileage, low service and insurance costs, and an incredibly low starting MSRP.</p>
