I watched House of Gucci to see Tom Ford

I don’t often go to see movies at the theater, let alone on my own, but when House of Gucci came out, I was dying to go. I wanted to sit there in the theater and geek out alone. It was everything I love the most- Gaga, Italy, fashion! I had to see it all, full screen!

It was everything I wanted it to be! The scenes of Lake Como and Milan on the big screen were breathtaking! The campy Italian mood was appropriate to me. It added a lot of laughter and glamour to a tragic tale. It was awesome to hear the perfectly polished Italian accents and the Italian asides. (I was working on my Italian over quarantine, so I caught every one.) I always love the opportunity to revisit the mood and the vibe of my time, many years ago in Italy. In fact, Adam Driver’s soft voice and mannerisms reminded me so much of an Italian boyfriend I had. He is becoming one of my favorite actors.
