Chapter 12: The Sun finally comes out

We wake up at Port Willunga only to find that not only has the wind not abated but SA has gone full apocalyptic and there is now thunder and lightning. The only positives are that a tree branch hasn’t crushed us during the night and it is nowhere near as cold as it has been in the past two days.

Dumping stations

Today we decide it’s time to finally suck it up and dump the bodily waste. This involves pulling out a cartridge on the side of the van and pouring the contents down an open drain.

I’m astonished at how much piss has accumulated in it but then I remember I live with three males. No-one has yet had the nerve to poo in the toilet so I don’t need to be confronted with that for the first time since they were babies.
