The Astrology of Exodus
<p>Exodus is our Jewish’s people’s origin story, the one that transitions the Torah from a family to a nation’s story. We retell it every year at Passover when it’s said to have happened: the Jewish month of Nissan. The astrology of this time frame can reveal another layer. Nissan is tied to the sign of Aries and ruled by Mars. That might seem like a bad omen as a founding story. Mars is often seen a <a href="https://theastrologypodcast.com/2021/09/08/mars-in-astrology-meaning-and-significations/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">bad influence</a>, associated with war and violence. However, Exodus has shown me that sometimes a warrior god is exactly what you need.</p>
<p>Nissan is the first month of the Jewish calendar. Aligned to the sign Aries, it’s a cardinal fire sign, ushering in a change. Aries begins new things with the element of fire. I think of it like a catalyst or a key turning the ignition. It understands the urgency of a moment — missing it may mean the loss of the entire opportunity. Aries takes its shot, even if it doesn’t have a well thought out plan.</p>
