<p>Here in Hong Kong, there’s every sign that the implementation of new climate reporting laws next year is just the beginning. The South China Morning Post reports that the chairman of the ESG committee in Greater China, Cyrus Cheung, is recommending that companies surpass mandatory climate reporting requirements. He believes businesses must start taking the initiative to report other ESG concerns in alignment with international standards, such as those relating to biodiversity. Another that comes to mind is modern slavery, which is receiving intense focus in some parts of the world, such as Australia.</p>
