Doom loops here, there, everywhere
<p>Our chickens are coming home to roost. It doesn’t mean you have to be caught up in the chaos that comes with it.</p>
<p>When poor individual choices collectively create a social or economic dilemma, politics becomes the realm where we appeal for a solution; it’s attractive to human nature.</p>
<p>The appeal of politics is in its ability to neutralize popular accountability and/or individual responsibility. The essence of politicization is the collective externalization of a problem or crisis. In other words, instead of making us look deeper into ourselves to consider how we might be contributing to our own ailments, and in turn produce personal solutions, we instead look outside to the community and society as the source of our problems, and therefore politics as the source of our solutions.</p>
