Sorry, but the MCU Should Just Skip Doctor Doom… at Least for Now

<p>Until you begin to catalog their similarities, it can be easy to underestimate just how much alike these masked Marvel despots are.</p> <p>Since their respective debuts in the early 1960s, they&rsquo;ve long been among Marvel&rsquo;s earliest and most prolific time travelers. Each has extensively traveled the multiverse and both have contended with and partnered with alternate versions of themselves in doing so. In continuity, they&rsquo;ve even actively debated whether they could be the same person at different points on a shared timeline.</p> <p>It&rsquo;s not surprising then that &mdash; while each has his own unique aesthetics and charm &mdash; they could be viewed by some as effectively interchangeable. And if recent MCU rumors are to be believed, Marvel Studios has aggressive plans to redistribute their storylines on screen to such a one-sided extent as to render the donor character completely superfluous.
